i was mounting a minox za 5 2-10x40 on my savage/pacnor muzzy today
and when you look throgh the scope on low power (4 and lower) you can see the whole length of the barrel. it has a set of talley one piece rings. when you zoom it in up to 4 power it goes away. the scope sits real low on the rifle. probably less than a quarter inch between the barrel and the front of the scope. question is will me being able to see the barrel in the scope affect the accuracy?
 
Nope. My Savage has a 3-9x50 Minox on it and it's so close to the barrel the neoprene cover won't fit between it. As long as it fits your eye good when you shoulder the rifle you're good to go.
 
I may be wrong but I have never been able to see my barrel through the scope and you cant hardly get a paper between my scopes and barrel, sounds to me like your scope is not level or something but I couldn't tell you as I have never seen that before

No scope is level. Front is always lower than the rear. If they weren't the scope would be useless. You would always be looking over the path of the bullet.

just thought it may be to out of whack, like I said I have never seen a barrel out of my scope and they sit right on the barrel, either way hope it works well for ya
