Ok seeing as a thief took my Redfield Accu Range I had been debating ,n too long ,on which one I was gonna stick it on..
What's the deal with the Muzzleloader Scopes around now,I haven't kept up with due to all the Issiues of late..

Will be going on a,Win Apex 45 cal Barnes 195 expanders n Blackhorn 209. ( Think CVA Kodiak (

I was leaning on the 1 mentioned above but.. I don't think there around anymore not sure on that..

I have a Leupold Ultimate Slam, several like the Nikon and the Redfield's are good too. My brother's both have the Konus scopes and they are pretty nice for the money and seem to hold up well. I think that's the scope CVA is putting on their combo packages.

Redfield still offers the Revolution series which are pretty comparable to a VX1 or maybe slightly better. IMO they had better glass than the Revenge series and slightly more eye relief as well. If you want the BDC version its the same reticle as the Ultimate Slam but around $100 less than the Leupold. Both are made in Oregon.

Thanks the Revoulations are about non existent locally one reason I didn't know for sure if they were still being made..Your right on the comparable glass to the vx1.. I did find one yesterday but the price difference to the Ultimate Slam is small n the retciles are almost identical. Looked at one tonight..n doing some research on now..

Thanks.. Your correct on line an at them.. Did some some looking around..However locally if found the Redfield is 279 in Accu Range. I also see a Tactical version of it that got my attention.

I hate getting something never looked at. in person on line..That said No problem with getting the Redfield Accu Range or now the Ulimate Slam...
after a trip to BPS last night.. there price is same as
on line but they no longer stock or carry Redfieds.

I forgot to mention a scope that is getting great reviews, has a killer warranty and lots of features. Plus ive seen them on sale for just under $300. It is not made in the USA but Vortex are nice scopes with some of the best glass for the money.

Correct me if am wrong here. The Ultimate Slam Shotgun ML VX1 glass Right?

Had a chance to look around at some more tonight. Found a VX2 that could workey for whats I wants. Thinking it over.
Also found the Redfield locally at much better than 279$

Thanks for the input guys.. Settled on a VX2 Wind Plex n CDS Gonna swap it out on a rifle n put that Redfield Accu Plex on the ML.. At least unless I change my mind..

BTW.. I also sprung for Alumina Covers Like em as they screw in .. And they will fit the 3-9x40 Revoulation . In case anybody wants to know...

you first have to see to shoot, look for quality at dawn and dusk... Nikon monarch 2.5-10 is great for the money esp a used model

I went with a Nikon Monarch although the Nikon Prostaff 5 looked just as good. The clarity of the 5 is better than my standard Prostaff. All three are good and have held up to lots of mountain hunting.

My CVA wolf sports a Konus from the factory. I believe their are better scopes available but I like mine. Also, I don't believe CVA would put an untrustworthy scope on their gun. It seems to me like they would want a decent scope or it would make their products look bad. Konus gets mixed reviews but overall most people like them. Mine is clear enough, I am sure there ARE better scopes available if you want to pay. I would recommend Konus. Bass Pro had VX2 starting at $199 in there recent sales paper. That may be a good ideal too. The 2x7x32 VX1 was $169. I would rather pay the extra thirty bucks but it's your coin and your setup.
