Scope opinions

I got a 22-250 and was wondering what would be a good scope to put on it. Nothing cheap or too expensive. Looking at the vortex line because I've had good experience out of them. All the gun will be used for it to bust some varmints and target shoot. Thanks for your time.

what type of gun. scopes should be matched the weight and length of the gun. Lightweight sporter, or 10lb bench bully?

The rifle is a ruger American. 22 inch barrel lightweight

i will go with 2.5-10 or 3.5- 10 x40mm. mount it low to the receiver in low rings (will be tight but should fit without bell hitting the barrel), i would go with a vx3 leupold but they aint cheap- 420.00-480.00. You could probably get a bush bell 4200 elite for around 300-350.00 and they are darn good scopes

the Luepold is a good scope, but for varmint shooting I use a Bushnell 6-18x50 or a Burris MTAC 6.5-20x50. Look for a 30mm tube and the biggest objective you can fit to have better light gathering.Vortex has several scopes that will work fine,but be prepared to pay for them. My MTAC was $700, and it was the least expensive scope I looked at.

What scope for a Stevens model 200 in 223 it has a Tasco 3x9x40 on it now it works pretty well for deer how bout for coyote hunting

I just purchased a Vortex and it seems to be a well made scope. It has an unbeatable warranty. As far as magnification I think 4-14 range is perfect for hunting in TN.

I bought a P223 3-9x40 Nikon for my AR...haven't gotten it out to the field yet, but I love the looks of it so far...
