Scope mount on muzzie

I had a Nikon Omega Muzzleloader scope installed on my CVA Optima Pro. The way the mount is set up to get the proper eye relief, the back rings rest close to the dials/reticle housing, while the front rings are in the middle of the front half of the scope shaft. I posted this in the blackpowder forum, but wanted to see what y'all thought of this mounting job. My only concern is the back rings causing a disturbance in the reticle housing/dials upon recoil, since they are close, but not touching the reticle housing. Could this be an issue?

Depending on the mounts you use, you might be able to turn the mounts around on the barrel, allowing the rings to mount closer together and give you more clearance. I have two-piece mounts on my CVA, each with two holes for the ring-anchoring bolt. I can reverse just the base closest to the breech, or put that ring in the hole closer to the muzzle.

When a scope's mounting rings are close like that I don't worry as nuch about issues with the scopes internals but I worry more about the long unsupported length of the scope tube that's more easily bent if it hits something or is dropped...heaven forbid...but it does happen. Sounds like you may need some extended rings.

should not be a problem, once the everything is assembled correctly, they become one. rifle-mounts-rings-scope......................

DO NOT OVER TIGHTEN THE RINGS TO THR SCOPE!!!!!!!!!!

The ML I bought had this Nikon Omega scope mounted on it.
My biggest complaint is the eye relief.
After i shoulder the gun,I have to move my head back to the end of the stock to get eye relief.
I'm selling this scope,and replacing it with something else.
The glass is not great either.

I'll post it for sale soon if anyone wants it. It's silver,and in good condition. It's just not a good fit for me.
