scope changed and zeroed

100 yards,,cold and calm,,1-13-11,,3 shots,55 Hornady FMJ,26.2 grs Varget ,LC Brass,Rem R15,4.5-14-40 LR,30mm tube,M1 knobs,B&C Reticle
moved scope a little and gonna try again at 100 and then at 300 and check the clicks on the scope against my charts.

I will be disappointed if at least 2 of 3 aint in the red at 300 first try..

I am tempted to go a couple extra clicks higher as cold as it is,,but I am goin straight by the book first try.

general all purpose shoot anything from the house rifle for cheap..

I need to be able to dot an eye from 30 yards to about 375,,I dont mean close.

I need 2 inch groups at 375 but also need to be able to dial it in to be dead on at any range from 30-375,,then would like to be able to get close to 500,

gonna confirm 100 yard zero then zero elevation and windage knobs,I have about 35 MOA up left in adjustments from 100 yards

then gonna check against this at 300,,then gonna start comin in 50 yards at a time with 3 shot groups and write down where the elevation knobs are in MOA`s plus 1/4 clicks on a chart and tape it to the gun
if 350 comes out to 6.7 MOA I will write down 6 plus three,,crank it to 6 on the dial then count up 3 more clicks,,this will take a week or more and probably over 100 rounds,.

right on the money,,I am not sure everything else is figured right,,

the scope height is a major player in this math..

dialed in 4 + 1 click and shot 5 at 300 was at the bottom of target,,went to 5 + 2 clicks and it is dead on at 300

I think it is slower than 3000 cold as it is,,I aint walkin back out there but they look like about 2.75-3.00 inch groups at 300.


I screwed the scope all the way down and back up to the top and back down to zero at 100 was about 3/4 inch to the left pretty much zero up and down,,
