I just got a new Marlin XL7 270 that comes with scope mounts but no rings and I have a Nikon Pro Stafg 3x9x40 I want to put on it. Any recommendations about rings?
Also got a Knight .50 TBolt 209 Stainless and would like recommendation on scope for that gun.

Thanks

I use the Warne Maxima 1" on most of mine. Also comes with a torque wrench so as to not over tighten. Been real pleased with mine. If you dont like the looks of these rings, look a the Burress Zee 1" rings.

You will need Weaver #61 bases for the Knight.

As far as scope for the Knight, I would stay in the 3-9x40 range. My selection would come from the Nikon Prostaff 3-9x40, Redfield Revolution 3-9x40, or the Weaver Classic V 3-9x40. All are around the $165 dollar range.

Iv'e got a Bushnell 3-9x50 on my Knight. I use quick release rings (forget the brand ). Great setup. You can remove the scope to clean ur muzzleloader and it doesn't affect your zero cause it goes back in the same exact place.

EGW pic rails and Burris Signature rings

Good combo there. I've used the same except regular steel burris zee rings. Had to trim the front of the rail a little with the low rings to get the scope back far enough.

FYI if you are looking for Talley rings and cant find them, you can call Talley and they will match the lowest price you find and ship them to you in 2 days. Was looking for the lightweight rings for a weatherby vanguard and they are no where to be found even online. Called on tues with the lowest price i found them online and got them today.

With the talley one piece alloy setup be carefull and dont over tighten the ring or get it lopsided so that the upper and lower touch, theyll crack! (found two of my rifles that are cracked like so) i like talley steel "warren style" mounts, now THATS a bombproof getup.

They are spendy but i think im about to outfit a few of my rigs with Conetrol, ;)

Conetrol rings have too many parts and are HEL* putting together. I'm afraid the tops will pop off if I dropped my rifle. They cost so much as well. I gave up trying to put my scope in them and sold them.
