Hi folks... just wanted to let you know that Scenic City Fishing now has options, so to speak.

Many of you know I've got a "regular job" and can only guide on weekends. But I have a partner now.

Sam Simons has a "regular job" as a teacher as well, but of course is free and clear during the summer and selected other days teachers get off (i.e. Spring Break, etc.). Sam has kindly agreed to "back me up" on dates I'm already booked... or weekdays when he's available.

Sam is a GREAT fisherman! A young man who is super energetic. We fish the same places and same styles... if anything, he's worked harder than I have concentrated on true trophy cats, working hard to catch "quality" where I often concentrate on "quantity."

But he also loves smallmouth and other species. Sam and I have taught each other a LOT in the last three or four years, and we have always shared information.

I just wanted to spread the word that now, Scenic City is no longer totally confined to weekends. Whether it is me or Sam, you still book through me to keep things simple.

Check out the somewhat redesigned website ... and as always, I appreciate the great support from TNDeer members!

Good deal.

We had such a great time last year we're planning to come back your way again this year. Just don't know when we can yet with crazy schedules. Glad to know there's options.

I am thrilled to be teaming up with Richard. I love fishing to the extreme! My goal is to put a 100 lb blue catfish in the boat. My two biggest so far are 83 and 85 lbs. I'd love to see folks put a big bass or cat in the boat, especially on the same day. As a fourth grade teacher, I also take my students fishing. Watching kids' eyes light up over a big fish is something special. Maybe I'll get to take some of you fishing eventually in my favorite city, Chattanooga.

Bout dadgum, consarn time. I suggested you get help five years ago. Takes a while for it to sink in on some folkses. :)

No way with you handling the bookings. You would get all the women and I would get the fat old men who turn the spinning reel upside down and reel backwards.

But do let me know whent hose spots start doing their thing. Big Bird and I want to come down with his boat and stay a day or so.

:D man I thought that was just my pet peeve when people hold the spinning reel upside down. It's not just fat old men either, seen people my age do it. Bothers the heck out of me, and even though I am holding my reel correctly, they never catch on and keep holding theirs wrong...

I have fished with Richard and Sam many times- WELL worth it! Here are a couple of pics on the boat with Sam. The first one is 2 weeks ago and the second is last summer. Sam said they were both "dinks"---- :(
