What do you guys use to saw bones for things like braised venison shanks and sawing up bones to make vension stock? Do you just put the bones on the floor and take a hack saw or sawzall to them?

I'd like to know as well. My mom has insisted I keep the bones this year and make some venison stock. No problem I think. Then she says - can you cut these up to palm sized pieces? Okay, mom - I'll see.

Sawzall with a stainless steel blade. I use it for processing my deer too. I gut the knees off, the head off, and the ribs away from the spine. Makes quick work of it. Used to use a hand saw, but sawzall is a little quicker.
I just use a hacksaw(that only gets used for meat).

The only time I've ever sawed bones down was using a coping saw from Lowes. I just happened to have one, the blade was just right, and it gave me the control I needed. Worked pretty well. The "sawdust" was relatively easy to control, and any that would've remained on the meat would've essentially dissolved in the long braise. Plus, the coping saw was easy to clean.
