I've got plenty with both but honestly I never understood the "need" for a detachable box mag on a big game rifle. I'd rather have a hinged floorplate. A detach mag is one more thing to lose!

The only time I really noticed a difference is when I used to ride around and throw rocks in cut-overs to flush deer. It was nice to have a DM and be able to unload when you left and reload when got to the next one without having the shells laying loose or in your pocket. Other than that, same diff.

I was on public land, so we took even more care than usual to unload our guns every time.
