Just feeling out the atmosphere to see if anyone may want to trade. Not sure if I want to but I sure do like the Pro Hunter OR Endeavors. Or would consider selling. Again, not sure if I want to but just checking.

Just curious....Why ?? There is no comparison between the 2. The Savage is by far the best of the 2. The only plus to the Encore is that you can change multiple barrels and calibers but that is expensive also with barrels running around $300.
From all I have read and heard the Savage is in a class by itself.
I do not like the barrel changing concept myself.
I do like the looks of the PH,but it doesn't kill game any better.
If I ever decide to upgrade from my Omega,it will be smokless.

You are crazy! The encore doesn't even come close to comparing to the savage! I have owned both of them and The savage is the best muzzleloader by far!
I don't know jack about the Savage but I love my encore. :)

I prefer to have 3 different guns, than the same gun with 3 different barrels. You pay a little more,but IMO it's worth having multiple guns.
If the barrels were $50 each, I still would not do it,but it would be more logical for the savings. JMO.

Have to agree about the Savage. Never read anything other than it's in a class by itself.
Question:
What makes it superior? Other than it can hold up to the pressure. Is it just heavier?
Why has TC not come out with their version?
I read somehwere about a guy doing a smokless build,but it's probably not worth the effort.

Just now having a chance to get back on computer. I like both of them. I have shot just as good a groups out of encore. BUT I agree that the smokeless has advantages over the encore that the encore doesn't have over the savage. Like I said earlier, I wasn't sure what to do and really don't know why I like the encore so much but I was just filling out the waters.

I am sure they have something in the works for a smokeless, but why cut their own throat when they have the best BP muzzleloader available. I think they are riding the wave and will introduce a hands down top shelf smokeless soon. Inevidable.......
The Savage was designed around the use of smokeless powder, not the other way around. Its conception started with,"let make a ML that uses smokeless powder" Not lets try and convert this too.

A 200 yard shot with a Savage is a piece of cake if you practice it a little. I have downed 2 bucks at just under 250 yds with complete pass throughs! There have been some 300 plus yds shots made by some but that is pushing the weapons abilities but in the right hunters hands it can be done! What a lot of people do not know is it is designed not only for smokeless powders but for pyrodex,blackpowder,and etc. It is a little heavier than your average ML but that is mainly due to the special steel used for the gun to withstand the high pressures put out. As with any ML you have to find that sweet bullet/powder combination to get the ultimate accurracy some want. I have had the Encore ML along with a Knight Disc and neither held light to the Savages I have. What I did was sell my Encore ML Barrel and used the money to buy me a 25.06 rifle barrel for it and use it as my rifle season weapon. The Savage ML is the cadillac of the ML world IMO !

Yes Badbull is a jewel of a ML but at $3500 it is not priced for the average Joe. For the same money that an Encore cost and a Savage cost there is no reson to buy the Encore Muzzleloader except for the extra advantage of the interchangeable barrels of the Encore. For the everyday hunter my money is with the Savage. Now if I hit the lottery I will let you know how the Badbull does! :D

If the ML season was longer before rifle opened up in TN, I would be up for this investment.
I bow hunt a lot, but if I want to hunt with a gun,and rifle is available, I prefer it over a ML.
Just easier to run one.
My ML kills this year could have been made with a bow.

I am glad you are getting to pull the trigger. I have had several opportunities at some does and small bucks, but I have several really nice deer on camera that I am holding out for. I am glad you like it. I have read your blogs and know you are happy with it,exception: the scope. I wasn't crazy about the scope either.
