Does anyone have a extra savage breech plug laying around? Im needing one for my H&R conversion and I cant find one in stock any where. Ill gladly pay for it.

looks like there is a shortage....

Question does anyone know the life expectancy of the breech plug?

In the event they quit producing them I thought about picking up a few extra when they are more readily available.

If you change out your vent liner you should be good to go.

I got a ss Pete's bushing plug with about 35 shots on it, I will sale for $70tyd and make a donation to tndeer as well. Let me clarify, i am not sure if this plug will work in any conversion. It came with a Rem 700 conversion. Slufoot would prolly know the answer.

Mind sharing who you got it from? I have an H&R that I am thinking of sending out for a 45/70 barrel and having it converted for my son.
i bought a bushing plug off a member. it was the only one he had.

I had a extra savage breech plug somewhere, but can't find it. If I had one to measure and make a print on I could machine a couple. I had some extra vent liners also and can't find those either.
