Oh, I have always loved the looks of the Savage 99. I have also hunted with a .243 and a .308 in the same.
I just recently purchased a .308 this year in the 99 deluxe.

Show me some pics!!

I already miss it!

I'm a lever man but I only have one 99 and its a neat rifle. Wish it was 300 Savage but its in 308 and that's a durn fine cartridge. They are one of the neatest rifles ever designed in my opinion. Glad you got one!!

The first one I ever saw was one the gun rack at Porter Walker Hardware in Columbia when I was just a kid. I always wanted a 99 but never got around to buying one.

That's a good one you got there.....I'm jealous. :)

I had a 1920 takedown in 303 Savage but sold it to have the bumpers re-chromed on my 71 Olds 442. I vowed to get another 99 and did as soon as I could.

I have my Brother in Law's 1927 takedown in 303 Savage in my safe. It was his Grandad's gun that is going to get passed down to his son. It stays at my house for safe keeping. Cool rifle for sure.

I also own a 99 in 300 Savage, it was handed down to me by my great uncle before he passed away. Mine is from the 40's.

The 300 Savage is a greatly under estimated/used round these days, it is a great round for whitetails. I bought a Remmy 700 Classic in that round a few yrs back, it is pretty much my go to deer rifle these days.

This is a 30/30 99H made in 1928 I think. It carries and handles like a dream. Nothing like this is made anymore.

I am on the hunt for a 30-30 and 1940s 300 savage. I have held one and it just seems so well balanced and well built. Nice 99 you got there!
