at 1000 the 250 gr bullets bang the steel louder than a 12 pound sledge,,

it is no trouble to see where you hit,,

Take a look at Nosler's web site. They have just come out with Accubond Long Range, better ballistic coefficient than Berger VLD. Don't yet know price....Did not see 338 cal but gonna be out soon I believe.

I have some 338 300 gr Accubonds,,they were 45$ per 50,I am not sure if the long range version is different or not but they shoot very well in Daddy`s Sako,,I have not tried them in the Savage yet,,

it isnt bad at all,,maybe like a 30-06 without a brake,,it is loud and the blast is unreal,,but I can spot my own shots as long as it is 700 or farther.

My buddy has one like it except his has a night force, its bad!

I have quiet a bit of time shooting rifles with NF scopes,,they are very good,,but if the Leupold had the zero stop I wouldnt give a nickle for the difference, over the LR/T with M1 knobs,,

my zero is at 300 yards and I have 75 Minutes of elevation from there,,I had this scope on a 223 for two years and it took 50 minutes to make 1,000 yards and I cranked it up and down countless times and never had to reset my zero in two years,,

dont get me wrong I would LOVE a 3-15 NF with the First Focal plane reticle with mil hash marks and .10 mil adjustments,,

Thats all Spanish to me :) i just know what the name is. He tells me what adjustments to make and i pull the trigger :)

Thats my next gun PURE BADDDDD!!!!!

it took me 3 1/2 months to get everything together to shoot the dang thing,,

take this advice,,buy NEW Lapua brass or you will have problems,,it is expensive at 250+ per 100 but it works and will last,,I had one box of Hornady 285 gr factory ammo that the brass was trash after shooting the first time,

Daddy bought some Norma that is junk also,,

and you need a scope that will handle the blast off the brake,,the Leupold LR/T is working well for me now,,we set the zero stop on the Night Force on the TRG42 almost 2 years ago and havent had to touch it since,,
