In spite of having a bad cold this afternoon, I decided that I could feel like crap sitting at the base of a tree, as good as I could feel like crap at home. Besides...the weather is nice. Deer movement started at just before 5 this afternoon. I let some does walk on by, eating acorns. This feller showed up....I wasn't aiming on being too picky. He was quartered towards me at 80 yards. My Sav ML2 has an aftermarket .45 cal Pac Nor barrel installed (it's BAD!) and I was using 56 grains H4198/ 195 Barnes Expander/ harvester light blue sabot. Muzzle velocity averages 2590 fps. It was a bang /flop situation.
