When do Sauger start biting here in Tenn? Any good locations. Nickajack, Pickwick???

Idk about everyone else, but me for I usually start catching them late December early January. I do all my fishing below Pickwick Dam. I hear that people catch quite a few this time of year on crankbaits, but I have never tried that.

mid december all the way into late february below ft. loudon.

We always start around Thanksgiving and usually start near the reservoir(i.e. Kentucky Lake). They will be around Birdsong and Cuba fairly early then progress to the dam. I have started at Cuba in late Oct. but don't think the water is cool enough to do it this year.

What's the latest on proposed sauger changes at TN River/Pickwick...? Anybody heard anything about this...?

Taylor.... I know the commisioners got tons of feedback and they did not vote on the changes. Will let you know more as I know. If you hear something let me know.
