I did. Got the email last night. I have no idea how to hunt them. Just thought it would be something cool to try.

Man and I both got drawn, along with one of his friends!!

I know NOTHING about hunting them but I know of several fields that I am gonna hit up the landowners for permission. Saw a BUNCH of them last year.

I wonder if I could decoy 'em down into my yard? :)

It is amazing how long it takes to find them in the sky once you hear them.
Usually have several flocks come right over my house. One of them last year probably had 300 birds in it.

I got drawn as well. Last year I went in person and got the 3 tags. Wish I could've made it to the drawing this year but I'm happy to have 1 tag. A word of advice, shoot the biggest, heaviest non tox shell you have in your safe. I raked feathers last year with 3.5" BB hevimetal at 35 yards and didn't bring birds down last year. I did manage to fill my 3 tags though. They like mud flats and cow pastures.

I went to the drawing in Birchwood and got 3 tags. This is my first time hunting them also and I haven't got any idea how to hunt them either. There's alot of them around my neck of the woods. Id be happy to meet up with you and we can try our luck on the river or some local land owners fields. I hear it's not hard to get permission around here to kill some cranes off these farms.

Sounds good to me. I had a couple friends put in but they didn't get drawn so i was gonna be out on my own trying to find some place to go

I failed it the first time.
The section about how many whooping cranes there are in the U.S. had a scroll down arrow and I didn't notice it when I read through the first time. I had no clue and guessed wrong.
After that I didn't have any trouble.
Not something you just click through without reading and paying attention to the question for sure though.
Pretty interesting to say the least.
I actually enjoyed it.
