Salt?

Is anybody freshening up their salt licks yet? I'll probably wait til late April or early May. Just curious if anybody starts earlier.

I keep mine going year round, activity slows down in the fall / winter but they still use it.

Do y'all have a preference on which salt to use? For the past 3 years I've used Deer Power. Its made in Lawrenceburg Kentucky and contains several different minerals like dicalcium phosphate and such. It smells awesome and they really seem to like it.

I put out a trophy rock a few years ago. It had been out a week and I went back to put my camera on it and it was gone. Never could figure out what happened. I just assumed somebody stole it lol

I haven't put out new salt yet, but I've bumped deer off the licks several times already this spring.

While turkey hunting this morning I done a little exploring and found the confluence of a sulfur spring and a creek. There was some deer sign there and it got me to wondering. ...would deer use that as a lick?
