salt lick??

this morning while out turkey hunting i was checking out one of my salt licks and noticed alot of deer hair around it. this is a big estabilished lick about 6 ft wide prolly 10 yrs old. there was a lot of hair looked like someone took handfulls and sprinkled it around the lick. whats up with that. im perty certain it was deer hair.

Just today I was watching some deer at a salt lick that I can see from the house. The big deer was there and every time some smaller bucks walked up he would raise his foot and paw at them. They would back down then he would let them come back and lick the salt. If you have two that are about equal they may have had a boxing match.

i guess yall are right. ive never seen so much hair around a lick like that before. for a lil while i done thought a one of those mountain lions from alabama come up here and abmushed one of my deers at the ole salt lick.

last year Radar and I watched two bucks fight at a salt lick. Without antlers hooves are a way bucks will fight each other.
