How will someone find you in the woods if there is an accident?
I think I post about this every year so here it goes again. For smartphone users with cell service at their hunting location.
1) BEFORE you climb into your tree or even a ground blind. Pull up google maps on your smartphone.
2) Zero in on your location with the gps on the application.
3) Press and hold on your location and a marker pin will appear.
4) Press on the marker pin and select share. You can then email/text or whatever with the exact coordinates to your loved ones or hunting buddy.
Since I hunt alone most of the time and my wife hasn't really been on the hunting lease much, I do this everytime I hunt so that if I were to fall or have some type of heart attack, she could give those coordinates to the proper authorities.
Good luck and be safe everyone.
