Lookin to find a pack to haul in my sticks and predator platform as well as the rest of my gear. I've looked at several options and tried to work with what I have but, can't seem to find that "perfect" setup. Curious to hear what packs others are using (both cheap and expensive). Thanks!

Been looking hard at the TrophyLine Platow. I like the idea of a "fanny pack" type style with a place to attach the predator pack. Worry a bit about the comfort though. I looked at the Eberlestock X2. I like it but, it also seems kinda big too.

I just bought this one and got it Monday so haven’t used it but it’s made for carrying a platform and sticks. EJ1 from here had one when he showed me some saddle stuff and I was impressed. Appears to have plenty of storage too.

I ended up ordering it. I was sold thinking about the versatility packing my sticks and how easy it would be to attach the predator pack. Hope it works out for both of us.

I’ve been using the Sitka Tool Belt for two seasons now and have liked most everything about it. It’s by far the quietest fanny pack available in terms of zippers/fabric. Having the detachable pouches is nice to keep weight off saddle. I also like the side pockets with a divider on waist belt. Makes grabbing items quickly when needed in dark or stalking. I’m in the process of making a few changes The shoulder harness it comes with is good if you want lightweight with option for clothing storage. I wanted something a little more heavy duty and decided to put a set of the Marsupial Gear Modular Yoke shoulder straps. With these I can either add 2 platform hangers like the Platow pack or attach a Predator Pack. Haven’t decided which one and using gear tie for now. The other change to the Tool Belt is making extension straps under pack for carrying extra cloths rolled up, climbing sticks etc. because they don’t extend out very far.

The Platow isn’t going to work out for me. I like the feel but there simply isn’t enough room in it for what I need to haul. To that end, if you fellas know anyone looking at a Platow and wouldn’t mind buying one that was used exactly one time, please let me know. Not really hard up to sell it but if I could save someone a few bucks and recoup a bit of the expense, win win. Wife bought me a treehouse for my bday. A lil larger than I originally wanted but that thing could haul my tax returns from 89. It’s a beast. May eventually pair down a bit but I like it for now

Put it on the Facebook saddle hunters classified page if you’re on Facebook. That’s where I bought mine.

Unless something changes, I'm happy with it thus far. I've used it twice already. 👍

I’ve tried a bunch of different bags, and the X2 is the best all-around for saddle hunting. It’s probably the ugliest bag out there, but man is it functional for what we do.
