Sabot?

When I skinned today's doe I found part of my sabot in the deer. I shot her 50-60 yards away. I thought the sabot separated from the bullet before reaching that distance?????

Wow! I've found mine 40 yards down range before.

Interesting when sighting in I have seen mine 40 or so yards out.

I usually find mine at about 20.

I've broken a skeet with the wad out of a shotgun shell. Lol kidding. That's crazy if the whole thing was still on the bullet and pushed off when it hit there deer. Did you glue the thing on? Lol
