Can someone tell me when the rut normally happens in Lincoln County? I have always heard late November is the best time to see rut activity.

Depends on what part of the county. Seems to rapidly change to later dates the farther south you are in the county.

TWRA did a study a few years ago confirming there was considerable breeding going on in January along the AL line. If a considerable percentage of does in your area are breeding mid-January, then a season ending early January only catches the rut-prep (cruising) phase. But if I remember correctly, the TWRA study did find a real hodge-podge of breeding dates across those southern-most counties, everything from some late November dates through all of December and into January.
