Squrriel rut that is..LOL This new place I just started hunt is like no other when it comes to squrriels.I've never seen so many in my life.Its not un common to be able to count 10+ different squrriels at any given moment while on stand deer hunting.And fearless,while scouting you can walk right up to them..And they stay on the ground until its all the way dark in the evenings.They are a weird bunch on that property..Not sure about em..LOL On a side note,I've not seen a deer from the stand since gun season opened..LOL

Haha, I can relate. Been seeing a lot more squirrels than deer lately.

 

[TRIGGER]

I watched a young squirrel fall out of a tree beside me at least five times Thursday morning. The tree was slick bark and he just couldn't make it up past the 25' mark. He fell all the way to the ground a few times. He would scream at mom and she would come down look at him and go back up. He sat on a little limb beside me for 1.5 hours until I left. It was comical watching him try to navigate the tree. He would climb three feet then slide down 2 climb 3 slide down 2 until he would fall and then start all over lol I had deer around me while this was going on but was filming the squirrel instead. I have never seen this before so it had my attention.
