Haven't been in a couple of weeks and wondering what people are seeing. Guts on our lease claim to have witnessed activity but neither me nor my buddy have any eye witness accounts yet.
 
Well, I'm just a county over in Seq, and it's dead at my place. After a very active last couple of weeks in archery, and first week into ML season, it has died to nothing. I didn't even see a deer yesterday eve.
 
Dead!!!!......very few killed on our place in Rhea county since Muzzle loader ended. I was seeing deer every time I went into the woods. I have seen one since gun season started.

Hard to say, but I have noticed the scrapes have gone cold and we aren't seeing much movement at all.
 
Didn't get to go after all - came down with some illness! Buddy said he only saw one deer and hunted from Tuesday til this afternoon. I hope it picks back up - planning to go next weekend. Best buck I have killed was on our lease and was first weekend in December a couple of years ago.
 
Just heard a report from Grundy co that scrapes have opened back up and the rut is wide open again over there. I'm next door so hopefully this week will see some action on my place. Heck, just seeing a deer will constitute action at this point! :cry:
 
my buddy came back from our lease today and saw zero deer since Tuesday - well saw one cross the road on his way in one afternoon and jumped one going in this morning. What is up? Seems awful early for the best action to be over already according to my journals and memory.
 
It has been very slow on our property in Rhea county as well. I am seeing more and more sign showing up in the thickest parts of our property and most of the movement is very early and very late. People hunting where they can see a long ways aren't seeing much. I have been in the thickets and have seen a few. However, being in the thickets makes it hard to get a shot.
 
Weather looks like rain early Saturday morning then some clearing. I know it's going to be somewhat warm, but I hope the rain keeps the deer bedded down and hopefully moving after it stops. I'll be out there regardless until Sunday afternoon.
 
Sat a few hours last weekend with no luck. Just wondering if any secondary rut activity has been going on yet now? I won't get to go again until the Sunday/Monday before Christmas.
