I've got the same gun gasman. It prefers cci minimags and the cci stingers. But it shoots well and easy to throw in the pocket for a quick run out or something.

Bought my wife one in 9mm thinking it would be a good carry gun, even got it in purty blue. She can't hit squat with it. She's used to her bigger glock. I like shooting it, just don't think I could carry a blue gun. It wouldn't go with anything I wear 😀.

This is SOO true. I once got a failure to eject from what I believe was due to lint and dog hair! I ended up purchasing a stronger slide spring and steel slide rod from Wolfe and that sucker cycles as reliable as a Glock now.

Didn't know they made the lcp2 in 9mm. I've got a lcp in 380 that I'd be hard pressed to get rid of. Small enough to slip in a front pocket with a spare mag and go about my day. If the lcp2 is an improvement of the lcp it's got to be a good firearm.
 
I have the LCP2 .380 and I like it. I had an original LCP for years then sold it. The LCP2 is better for me. Slightly larger, a little better grip, sights marginally better but still basically unusable. I like it for convenience. Easy to grab with a pocket holster and head out. Definitely a "get off me" pocket pistol but perfect in that role.

The only thing that bothered me (Briefly) is that it does not have a firing pin block. However, there are two heavy sear engagements that hold the hammer in place. If the first fails, the second catches it. During testing they found the first sear was so strong they had to grind it off just to test the second. So I got over that concern after some research and carrying it for a while.

As previously mentioned, keep it free of dust and lint if it's for pocket carry. Take it apart. Clean it. Regularly. Lint loves to get into that little space where the hammer lives.
 
The lcp2 is slightly larger and made a tad different if I recall. My lcp2 in 22LR is pretty dang nice.
I had a older gen 1 lcp and hated it. But the 2 feels much better and has a better trigger. At least to me
 
Try a Glock 42 and you'll probably throw that LCP away. My wife couldn't hit a silhouette at 10 ft with the LCP. She put seven shots in a golf ball size hole with her Glock 42.
 
Got one and like it so much got rid of my LCPll in 380. So far it has cycled Blazers, American Eagle, Remington Golden Bullets and CCIs. Keep it loaded with CCIs high velocity segmented hollow points. So far pocket lint ain't been a problem. Every so often open the slide and just blow the lint out. Know several several people that have one and the only issue I know of was caused by over oiling it. It's a real good pocket gun, good choice. Plus side is it's a 22 and not consistent with the today's market it's cheap to shoot. Plus it's just fun. Add those 2 together and you'll find yourself shooting/practicing more with it.
