I am looking strongly at this gun for the wife and concealed carry. I had heard from folks, mainly online that there were vast improvements from the trigger to staying open after last round was fired. Do any forum members own the Ruger LCP II, or any other conceal carry gun they prefer over another. My budget is 400. Thanks AL

I had the original and now the LCP 2. I greatly prefer The lcp2, The trigger is much better and the slide lock is also a plus. It also has better sights than the original.

I usually carry a G19 or 43, but always have the lcp stuck in my pocket as well.

Also check out the S&W Shield. I carried one for several years until my wife took it from me for her carry gun.

I have an LCP 2 that shoots pretty good. Trigger is way better than the original LCP my dad has.

Second the Shield. My wife preferred the shield to the LCP's. It's always best to take a wife to a rental range and try several is possible.

I have the shield and the lcp II. In my opinion the Shield or LC 9 are better primary guns for everyday carry. Lots of other choices in this category as well. The LCP II for me personally is better suited for a backup gun. That being said, I always have the LCP II on me. Cutting the grass, running to the store in gym shorts, laying around the house, whatever. Its always on me. But from 9 to 5 so to speak its a back up gun to my EDC.
