Just got my new toy setup and ready to head to the range. This is the 6.5 Creedmoor with a 24" barrel and 1:8 twist. I mounted the Vortex Viper 6.5-20x50. Bore sighted it and headed behind the house, first three round out of the rifle at 200 yards. I'm a happy shooter that for sure. Had a 7 mpg cross wind when touching off these first three. For a production rifle straight out of the box with some cleaning and oiling, I'm very happy with my purchase. The two-stage trigger is breaking with 1.5 lbs on the first stage and 1lb on the second. Very smooth and tight. Using the Hornady ELD 140 grain ammo shoot at 2700 fps, the center shoot was due to the wind dying down when I pull the trigger. 3/4" wind drift at 200 yards.

I can't wait to try out the ELD-X on whitetails next year. They have shot fantastic out of my 6.5 CM

Nice choice of rifles. I have the same one! That rifle is capable of better groups if you reload for it. Mine shoots cloverleafs at 200 yards with 130 Accubonds and 140 Bergers. And either bullet will drop an antelope in his tracks. Haven't had the pleasure of shooting anything else with it yet. You'll enjoy the Creedmoor.
