Do they still even make that pistol?
Fell in love with them the first time I ever saw one.
6" in .357 magnum, stainless is what I want.
Never been much of a pistol person but I am considering buying or trading for one here before long.
Just feel like I need something that can tag along with me and be a little more handy around the house if the need arises.

Really the only pistol that I have ever shot that I shot well, other than the Ruger Mark 2 in .22 lol :)
Seems to just fit me.

Good choice?

it can double as a hammer if need be,,dang tough revolvers,,like mentioned above I like the S&W 686 and Colt triggers better but a good smith can fix the trigger and still be less money than the Smith or Python,,

That is my next pistol purchase...whenever that may be. I want a 4' barrel in .357 mag.
FWIW...Ruger is also making this model in 44 mag, if you are so inclined to go that route.

That's cool.
I don't know why, I just want a .357.

I got a practically new shotgun I need to see if I can do some trading.

I have its little brother, the SP101 for carry purposes. I even carried it with me on a backpacking trip. But I want the GP100 as well.

I love the 357 mag since it is so versatile, it will handle just about any game/threat around here. Probably a little light for bear/moose/elk, but we don't have those around here. And you can also use .38 rounds for practice.

I know i pulled this out of the past but running through old post and ran across.I recently got the gp100 3" 357 and love it.

Congrats man.
I ran up on almost the exact one I have always wanted myself.
Only difference was the one I found was stainless instead of blue but I can deal with it.
Pretty crappy picture but here is the one I got.

Thats purdy..i always wanted a 6" but loved the 3" so much that i got it first, more practicle for me.Is that the 4.2 barrel?

Yep, I wanted the 6 as well but this was too good a deal to pass up.
Yes it is the 4.2 I rekon.
I just figured it was 4" :)

Always wanted a GP 100 in 357. Thought of selling my Taurus and getting one. I love my Taurus, but MAN those GP 100s look nice. If you fish the river around here, I feel like you need that caliber or bigger.
