Got a chance to look at one of these rifles today not a bad rifle for the money I believe it was 359 dollars not to bad of a price.

Yeah I am waiting for a 22-250. This rifle has a lot of features that should make it very accurate. Plus it is a user/utility rifle at a great price sort of like the old Rem 788. PH

Right now Ruger is not accepting any more orders from distributors until the end of May. They are overwhelmed with demand for their current products and can't produce enough. If and when they get caught up and if and when the American is a success there will be more calibers for sure. It may be awhile but supply and demand will rule the free marketplace. I sent an email to the Ruger CEO and got a veiled response and written reply which was more like a 'wink' that other 'varmint' calibers would be forthcoming at some point. Hope so. PH
