Ruger American Gen 2 .243

Got a Ruger American Gen 2 in .243 for the kids. Winchesters 65 GR shot right at 1" Hornady Whitetail 100 Gr was about 1.25". I adjusted the trigger as low as it would go wish it would have went a little lower. The stock on these is better than the 1st gen but still $600 gun stock. I put an area 419 Arca plate on it so we could use a tripod. Each boy shot a doe last day of season.

Those Mcarbo springs really help the triggers on these. That being said, I put a Timney in mine lol. The MCarbo spring is like $12. Worth a try. I've got one of those 419 Arca rails in an 8in length. Haven't mounted it. That a 4in on yours?

I put an Mcarbo spring in my Gen 1 Ruger American Ranch. The trigger wasn't bad to begin with but the spring swap made a really nice difference. Would definitely recommend giving it a try.

I'm pretty sure I just removed the spring from my gen1 and it took it down to 1.25-1.5lbs

I did the same to my American
Rimfire as well
