I have always heard good things about ruger #1's. they seems to be a good design and feel really good in your hands.

who has experience with them? accuracy?

thanks guys for helping me spend my money :)

There a top of the line quality gun, accurate as all get out.

I have shot a few, never owned one(but is on my list), they are very well balanced and set well on "my" shoulder.

If you find one in really great condition, in the caliber you want, at a great price. You can't go wrong.

I want 1 in 22 Hornet. My Dad had one in 22-250 for a short while, it shot lights out for me, but he didn't shoot it as well. Nice good looking rifles for sure.

I have one in 25-06 with the laminated stock and stainless barrel topped with a vx-3, 4.5 x 14 x 40. It shoots very good and is dependable and a good feeling rifle to me. I shoot 117 grain Federal Sierra Game Kings with good accuracy and results on deer. This is the rifle my wife hunts with but I have shot a couple with it also.
