I find it really something how the good Lord used a friend of so many of y'all to bless you with one of His common yet overlooked graces, the lowly pork steak. And trust me on this. All kinds of things will make you continually recall your loved one who's gone before you. Where finishing college in the St Louis area of southern IL, Greenville, if someone mentioned BBQ, they likely were talking about grilled pork steaks basted with a sauce that was just as likely Maul's. Haven't used that sauce in decades but hot n fast thin sliced or smoked and braised thicker cut, we grill em often when the neighborhood grocer puts pork butts on sale. Any legit grocer will be more than happy to cut one into pork steaks to your desired thickness. Just freeze the steaks you don't need for another time. Think I need to order me some of Ruger's Strawberry seasoning as well. It's a beautiful day for grilling, folks. And God is so good to give us special people in our lives. Spend good times with em while you can.
