I was looking at some timberland company land yesterday with a client, saw all these nice food plots
hunters have planted and towards the end we come around corner meeting logging truck loaded on the way out.

Found where loggers where making a loading deck in food plot by nice shooting house, client said they weren't there Friday,
be a upset hunter soon. But leasing from timber company cutting timber or land being sold is always a risk
 
Me too. It was my 2nd year hunting in TN. Went to my spot I had found on Timber Company land. BIG trucks and noise and dust and NOISE. I had no idea they would do this during hunting season. What a rude awakening for sure
 
That's crappy by the timber cutters. Ours confer with us before they cut and do everything possible to leave our plots alone. Now sometimes it can't be helped but they always let us know.

I know they are contract cutters and are given maps of where to cut, yard,etc
in the long run this is going to effect several on here the lease ground in Stewart and Houston counties
 
My MIL had some land cut and they used a plot of mine for the same thing. Talked to them about at least about grading it out again. Of course when they got their money they packed up.
