Rossi 243 ?

Just want to say I have been a long time lurker on the site but this is my first post. Very informative site. Anyway my question is about a Rossi thriple threat that I bought for my kids. It came with a 20 guage shotgun and a 22 and 243 rifle barrels. for some reason I can not get the 243 to sight in at all. After a box of bullets and 2 scope changes I still can not hit the broad side of a barn at just 75 yards. Could it be bad rifling in the barrel? The gun was not that expensive so is that just the quality of the gun? Anyone else had this kind of experience with this particular gun? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

My son had a one of the Rossi 243/50 cal combos. We never had any issues with the accuracy of the rifle. We did have some issues with ammo misfires though....particularly Remington Core-loks

My old boss had the same combo, and complained of the same problem. He sold his and cut his losses.

I just sold one a while back and the rifle was very accurate. I used winchester power points. 100 gr

I am going to try some different bullets and see how that works out. I was shooting 100 gr trying to sight it in so I guess I will try some 95 gr and see if it makes any difference. If that does not work I guess I will get rid of it. I do not want to go with any smaller bullet than that, afraid it will just cripple the deer if it is out past 50 yds. Thanks for the input.
