Rossi 243 Youth Rifle

I bought a Rossi 243 youth model and I can't get it to group better than 8" at 100 yards. I have tried every bullet that I could find, and I have also replaced the factory scope and mounts with a Nikon Prostaff. It will group about 2" at 50 yards. Do you think I should try sending it to Rossi to see if they can fix it or I am expecting too much of a low cost rifle?

I had the same problem and I sent the gun back to Rossi, they repaired the gun and returned it to me for free. The repairs took almost 4 months. I sold the gun after getting it back because I had acquired another gun for my 13yr old to hunt with. Good luck, when you get it back it will be right, but it may not be before rifle season. The turnaround time really sucked for my rifle, they said they were waiting on the barrel for about 2 months. Good luck.
