I have a Rossi .223 bought. I know I could of bought an H&R or a NEF but I didnt I bought this one. Im not looking for opinions on whether it is a cheap piece of crap or not. It is a single shot Rossi, I dont expect it to look like or shoot like a Browning or anything like that. I know that it is a lower end gun. My question is for anybody that has a Rossi single shot. Will it go boom reliably and can I hit what Im aiming at(considering it is sighted in to do so) at say 100 to 200 yds? I have never owned a Rossi.

Give it plenty of time between shots to cool off. With single shots like these, with the forend attached directly to the barrel you really know when the barrel begins to heat up. It's a pain but 4-5 mins between shots will show what the gun is capable of.

It'l shoot, but it is not the most accurate gun out there. Im sure it can do better than a paper plate at 200 yds with a good shooter holding the rifle...have the rossi trifecta 243/22/20ga.
