Since three of the top 4 teams left in the hunt (Clemson, ND and ohio state) had already stated they were against playing if the players' families, at the least, weren't allowed at the game, it was the only way to ensure the Rose Bowl wasn't Pigs Knuckle State vs. University of Amnesia - which nobody in their right mind would tune in to see.

Texas is more than happy to take business from California. Joe Rogan, Elon Musk, Oracle Corp and a lot of other Californians have recently made that. Sold my house to Californians a few months ago. People who can are fleeing. Here in Nashville, after TN license plates, the most I see are from CA, NY, NJ.

They ought to change the name to the Yellow Rose Bowl. ("Yellow Rose of Texas" for the slow ones in the crowd LOL.)
