Anyone been noticing birds changing their roosting areas frequently in the past couple weeks? I figure every spot is different based on terrain, food, and just turkeys being turkeys. Only reason I'm asking is because that one bird from Monday morning has been on my mind - he was roosted on private property but close enough to call onto WMA property, and I hope he's still in the same spot next Sun or Mon when I hunt. I know it's nearly unpredictable but if I hear that some birds have been holding the same roost for more than a week recently, it will make me feel better... lol

I've been the last 5 mornings in a row and they've been roosted in a different spot each time. This is in chapel hill so it may be different where you're hunting.

I'm not hunting far from chapel hill maybe a 20 minute drive tops. They have changed roosting areas, at least the toms have, on the WMA. Hopefully this one bird will stay in his spot more because it's private land... no telling though.

Everywhere I am hunting the birds have been settled in their roosting locations almost to the exact tree. Once the hens leave them completely they will start bouncing around again, but for now they are all in their own little territories and have picked the best roosting locations in each.

darn I was just gonna walk onto the private property and pop him off the roost so I could escape by sunrise
