I bought some used DP's off someone and it came with the cables. I always use anchors but decided to use these instead of attaching the anchors instead.

When I was checking traps this afternoon I got up to where this should be and couldn't find it. I was looking on the ground and not up and got to thinking someone stole it. Finally looked up and it was right in my face.

I'll be attaching anchors to everything this weekend.

I like to keep the cables as tight and as short as possible around trees but i still lose some. I use anchors in the field and if they can get enough of a run and shoot on a cable they will get out that way as well.

No doubt, they will climb anything they get their hands on. I'm all about anchors, and oftentimes use the metal trampoline anchors when trapping around the house. Drive them in ground with 3-5# hammer and have yet to have one even remotely moved, much less pulled out.
