Just bought the Petzl Corax. This thing is actually really comfortable. I have a question for you guys wearing these harnesses though. How would I go about setting up a line and belt on this thing? Would I just connect both ends to the center hook up? I tried searching the forums, but I couldn't find anything.

I loop a short runner through the harness loops (same path as the belay loop) and have my carabiner at the end of the runner.

I use a nylon sling (https://www.treestuff.com/store/catalog ... 0&item=438" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;) run through some webbing along the back of the harness to allow me to hook into a lineman's climbing strap.

I guess I need to take the plunge and order one of the dang things. I've never had any complaints about my Muddy harness, but everybody keeps raving about the rock climbing harnesses. I've looked at them a lot, but haven't made myself buy one yet. I guess I need to see if my better half will let me spend a little money. I've already tapped out all of my own hunting funds for the year. :)

I loved my muddy, but just go and try one of these harnesses on. The muddy was comfortable but nothing compared to this new harness.

Thanks everyone for the input. I like the idea of adding a sling, but I don't think I'll have the time to get one added before I hang stands this weekend. I'll just connect to the belay loop and see how that goes. It'll at least get me up the tree until I can get my lifeline installed.

I've tried them on - I'm sure they'd be more comfortable. I think I have a HSS rope wrapped around my other climber at my Henry County hunting spot. I'm going to look for it this weekend. If it's there, I'll go ahead and order a rock climbing harness. I just don't want to spend money on a harness then have to buy all sorts of other ropes. I don't want to wind up spending $100 just to get set up properly.

Are you talking like a lineman's rope or a full on safety line?

Well if you can't find it let me know. I have around 8 feet of new rock climbing line that I'm not using and I can throw a prussic knot on it and send it out your way. It may not be camouflaged but it'll do the trick.

I made mine to. It's blue. Figured if they are close enough to see that it's too late anyway.

Mine is white and yellow with a green prussic knot. I figure that as long as I get these stands out early enough that they'll just get used to them
