Anyone load 30-06 with RL22. I have some 180 gr Accubonds that I'm going to load up for a 742 carbine that I plan on killing a deer with next season. My uncle left me a like new Remington 742 carbine when he passed several years ago. I have been wanting to kill a buck with it but haven't gotten around to getting it ready. I am going to change the scope mount/rings out. It has the old flip over rings, I'm going to put a set of Talleys on it. I have quite a bit of RL22 is the reason I was thinking about trying it.

Every deer I've shot with a 30-06 a 150 has killed quicker than a 180. With your carbine being short barreled your velocity is going to be low and a 180 would not be my choice and definitely not a 180 Accubond. You'd be better served if you're set on a 180 with a Ballistic Tip or an SST wit the low velocity you'll get.

A 150 with H4895 48.5-50grs or imr4064 50-52grs would be a good choice.

A 165 with h4895 46-47grs or 4064 50-52grs.

I've also had good luck with 3031 on 150-165's.

I4350 is your friend for 180s and 165s in the 06. RL22 is good for high velocities in the 06, but can be picky about which rifle that it decides to work in.

There's a reason that it's said that "if you can't get a 165gr bullet and 57gr of IMR 4350 to shoot in your rifle then your rifle won't shoot."

I love the above recipe with 165 NABs in my 06s for deer, and they are available as of last night at SPS for $33/50

AA4350 is the flavor I use in my 06 as well, but with 150s. 😁 But I also use 150 NAB's in my 300WSM, also with AA4350 powder.

I shot RL19 150GR ballistic tip for years and it was deathly accurate, then switched to the 150 Accubond same load. Never seen a rifle that wouldn't shoot that load reasonably well. Both bullets done a good job across these beanfields, the reason I switched to the Accubond the B.Tip would open a little quicker than I like.
