The cumberland has almost dropped enough to where the trolling will be heating up !! Has anyone been trying yet ? I'm headed out Thursday to give it a try...trying to fit in as many trips as possible before I have to move to Franklin and the river will be 45 minutes away.
 
Not on the Cumberland but we have limited several times trolling in May and June in Douglas Lake and it's headwaters.
 
We were up there Sat. AM for about an hour. The river is real muddy. My buddy caught a 4lb Drum within 3 min. then nada. The flow and water level are perfect with the one generator but the 9 inch visibility really hurts the fishing. I think someone sits upstream and shovels mud into the channel:) Hopefully it will clear up in the next few weeks.
 
Water has cleared up considerably as of today....stopped down for a look after going to the farm to check on the plots and the water was clearer than I have seen it in weeks. Gonnas give it a try on Thursday...will let ya know how we do.
 
Okay....Thursday sucked ! River came back up after the monsoon rains on Wed and got real dirty again. Managed to catch 3 sauger jigging, but water was right back up to 26 feet deep in the river channel.....oh well, maybe next week.

Headin back out to try it this morning.....water level is right and the water has cleared again. Let ya know how we do later this morning.
 
This morning was okay....water still not clear but managed to catch 9 sauger and 3 walleye. Only two keepers out of the bunch (1 of each) b ut its looking promising ! Back at the house now for a nap and to escape the heat then back out this evening.
 
We limited out Monday in not muddy but very dirty water and caught most of them when it was heating up between 11 and 12:30 in 6 to 8 feet of water. Went to bridge pillers after that just to fun fish and caught two more nice eyes in 30 feet on jigging spoons.
 
This evening the GF caught a nice eye about 26 inches. Other than that only one more small sauger......need the water to clear up ! Below OH dam
