I'm posting this to the Serious Deer Hunting Talk forum, as I believe this forum gets a lot of traffic. Moderators, please move to the appropriate forum if this is not it.

Looking for a good rifle range in the Nashville/Brentwood area. Has anyone sighted in at the Stones River Hunter Education Center? The description on the TWRA site looks good. The price certainly is right.

Is it crowded on weekends (it is only open Friday-Sunday)? From the description, there is a 50 foot range (pistol) with 30 positions, a 100 yard range with 18 positions, and a 6 target archery range.

Any other outdoor rifle ranges in the Nashville/Brentwood area that anyone would recommend?
 
Stones River is a great range. It's been a while since I've been, but I liked the way it was run. I would suggest going out as soon as you can. The closer it gets to muzzleloader & gun, the more crowded it will be. I remember seeing a line of 30 or so people waiting for it to just open.
 
stones river is nice but can take all afternoon to sight in with all the cease fire and cold range time.
