Because of work, I have been unable to get back out and hunt since muzzleloader opening weekend. Been out of town on business since Sunday until tomorrow evening when I finally fly back home. I hunt west Hickman County and the Wunderground forecast for the weekend is looking best for Sunday with likely rain Saturday morning at least, but getting clear and cold Saturday night. Being away all week, it wouldn't be fair to my wife or kids to hunt both days this weekend. So, I'm looking to "pay back" the family Saturday (plus watch a very important football game Saturday afternoon) and instead focus my rifle opener on Sunday.
Here's my question: I hunt a lease. We have set places for our stands so I have no concern about any of the other hunters shooting up my spots on Saturday, but everyone else will be out on Saturday on my lease and the surrounding properties as well. I've been a firm believer that opening day is your best day to kill a mature buck. However, if you could only hunt one day this weekend, would it be Saturday or Sunday?
