I bought a Rhino .680 at the NWTF banquet for my Mossberg 835 ulti mag. I patterned it today at 35 yards with Hevi Shot Mag Blend and all I can say is nasty! I counted 272 pellets best I could, dunno about the hole... What do you guys think?

wow thats tight! nasty for sure though.
I am interested to see how the Nitro Performance H517's pattern through it. Hopefully they will be here this week.
The hole is from your wad I have never seen that at 35yds....
That'll do it for sure.
Not the wad roost. My father in law and I thought that at first but it released around 20-25 yards downrange

bad to the bone. are those new or older magnum blends.
These are at least two year old magblends. May be older. Bought several boxes when they came out. Can't remember when that was.
Waaaay to tight for my liking! While it looks impressive on paper, I'd never hunt with that setup for the conditions I normally encounter here in TN (most shots 15-40 yards). Very little room for error for shots 35 and under.

I have a 835 and I shot the mag-blends through a 675 gobbling thunder and have got that kind of pattern at 30 yards. I thought wad also but it wasn't because mine released as well before target. I shot the XX magnum 5's for years and I did have a wad go through a target at 40 yards once.

Why 35 yards? At 40 those holes should fill in a little. I like it :grin:
