Is it better to resize the case and trim the case or trim the case and then resize the case?

If you really wanna know, you could measure a case before you size and measure after.

This is how I've always done it.

When you resize the case, it grows. Thus, it would e proper to size first.

Lets say you resize and happen to measure a few and not all brass are at or beyond the trim level. For example, .308 case max length is 2.015 and some of your brass is 2.012.

I would be setting my lyman up to trim to 2.008 (lyman says 2.005) and I would trim everything to that length.

What you are looking to achieve is consistency case to case charge to charge---replication from one round to another to achieve uniformity.
