Went out this morning to see how the deer were moving see 2 does and 4 bucks. First buck was alone and surprised me. He was a shooter and was moving quickly with nose to the ground. Tried to stop him but he stopped behind a big ceder then turned back other way. I chose to let him pass cause i didnt want to hurry a shot between two trees and risk wounding him. Seen a dozen long beards that wouldnt leave for 2 hours even with me waving my arms at them. All in all good morning but still think the peak rut is a few days to a week off.

Good report... What area was this in? Hoping maybe this weekend after the rain here tomorrow night and cold front moving in will have them moving. Supposed to be in the 40s also early next week.
