Smokeless Replacement Stock for my savage?

I have a stainless savage with the plastic stock and I love the gun but hate the stock. A buddy of mine has a thumbhole stock that came from savage that is nice. What would you guys recommend? Savage replacement (if possible) or go another route?

If you have the ability to pillar and bed a stock then a Boyd's laminate stock will cost you roughly half of what a new Savage stock would but it needs to be bedded.

I would be interested in your plastic stock if you are wanting to get rid of it..
