I have to replace the regulator/rectifier in my motor, and was gonna do it with a buddy. But from what I read, you have to remove the fly wheel to make it happen. Anybody ever done that? Too much to worry about or should I go to a mechanic?

Done 1 on a motor this past summer, ended up cutting it off which was ugly, 40 year old or older motor, ruined the brand new puller, runs good now lol

How old is the motor only thing under the flywheel should be the stator. The rectifier should be mounted on the side of the engine block. Depending on age of the motor. I don't know anything about newer stuff.
