Just received my Rifleman magazine and saw this ad for Remington 22 ammo.
Says "flawless feed and function". 38 grain HP. Anybody try this yet?

Haven't heard of that one, but did see one from federal called Hammer Down. Says made specifically for hunting with lever actions. 🤷

Edit... Remington is saying that's a 40g RN..

I could be misremembering this, but I thought that I saw something on that ammo that said that it was optimized for reliability and not necessarily accuracy. If that's the case then it's not exactly what I would consider interesting to me (or Townsend Wheeler)

Its a new, improved offering from the new owners of Big Green

Has to be better than the Golden Bullet

New to Remington's line of rimfire ammunition, Ranch Hand is simply the best rimfire cartridge Remington has ever produced. Known for its ultimate dependability and flawless function across common rimfire firearms, Ranch Hand continues to impress shooters across the world. Great for an EDC on the farm or chasing varmints in the woods, we can't think of an occasion Ranch Hand is not suited for. Yeehaw y'all.

That isn't saying much. I need an American company to make some top of the line rimfire target ammo. :)

Here is a video with the Engineer that designed the Remington Ranch Hand. It appears reliability was the goal. I don't think accuracy was even mentioned.

They talk about comparing to their closest competitor for reliability. I suspect that is CCI Mini-Mag. I may have had a failure with CCI, but I don't remember it if I did. So to be fair, CCI may have already done what these guys did. But it's always good to have another choice that's reliable. AND...is American Made.

American made .22LR ammo is not ever going to be accurate, just made to go bang at a cheap price. If you want accuracy you are going to have to get some of that "Commie Ammo".

Thunder bolts broke me from Remington 22 ammo. Went to Federal and other than a couple issues been happy, CCI is another good hunting round
